Before you go

Good to know.

What exactly is this event?

A paint your own pottery night for women who want to make new friends. You choose a ceramic piece at the studio, paint it at a reserved table, and sit with two or three women we matched you with based on your form.

Is my pottery piece included?

Your seat covers your matches, your studio spot, and the evening. You choose your piece on the night and pay for it at the studio, so you are never locked into something you did not pick.

I'm not artistic. Is that a problem?

Not in the slightest. Nobody has to be good at it for the evening to work. A studio host is on hand, and half the fun is laughing at your first brushstroke together.

Can I come alone?

Please do. Most of our guests come solo. You are matched before you arrive, so there is always a seat, and a conversation, waiting for you.

How does the matchmaking work?

You complete a short form at checkout about your interests, your social energy, and what you are looking for. We use it to seat you with women you are likely to click with.

Where is this happening?

At a paint your own pottery studio. The address is sent to you as soon as your seat is reserved.

When is my finished piece ready?

Pieces are glazed and fired by the studio and are usually ready about 7 to 10 days later.

What if I can't make it?

Seats are limited and each one is reserved with the studio in advance, so a $20 no show fee applies if you reserve and do not attend. All sales are final. See our terms and conditions for details, or reach out to howdy@apartyof8.com.

What if I'm running late?

Doors open at 6:30 PM and painting begins at 7:00 PM. Our studio time is reserved for two hours and cannot run over, so arriving on time gives you the full evening.
