Is this a cooking class?
Yes. This is a hands on cooking class. Professional chefs teach you to make two fresh pastas and two sauces from scratch, and then everyone sits down to eat what they made together.
How much is a seat?
A guest seat is $175. Founding Members reserve the same seat for $50, with no credits needed, so all 20 of their monthly credits stay free for dinners, socials, and classes. See the Founding Membership.
I've never made pasta. Is that a problem?
Not at all. This is built for beginners, and the chefs guide every step. Half the fun is learning together.
Can I come alone?
Please do. Most of our guests come solo. You are matched before you arrive, so you will never be standing around wondering who to talk to.
How does the matchmaking work?
You complete a short form at checkout about your interests, your social energy, and what you are looking for. We use it to place you with women you are likely to click with, and your name card tells you where to go.
Where is this happening?
At a private cooking kitchen. The address is sent to you as soon as your seat is reserved.
Can I bring wine?
Yes, and we hope you do. Bring your favorite bottle and the glasses and openers will be ready. Soft drinks are included.
I have a food allergy or restriction. What should I do?
Tell us on the matchmaking form at checkout. The menu includes gluten, dairy, eggs, and pork, and the kitchen is not an allergen free facility. We need to know in advance, since the menu cannot be changed on the night.
What if I'm running late?
Please arrive at 6:00 PM. The class begins right at 6:30 PM and cannot run over, so a late arrival means missing part of the cooking.
What is your refund policy?
All sales are final, because your seat and your share of the menu are reserved with the kitchen in advance. If you cannot make it, reach out to howdy@apartyof8.com and we will do our best to help.
What happens after the evening?
We send you the recipes, your matches, and an invitation to your next PO8 table. The friendship part is up to you, but we will nudge.
