Run of Show

Your evening at a glance

  • 6:30 PM

Doors, check in, and the market

Arrive, give your name at the door, and collect your wristband. The bar and the vendor market open at the same time.

  • 7:15 PM

    Find your seat

Grab a drink, grab a seat, and settle in with your group.

  • 7:30 PM

    The show begins

Four women comedians, one stage, and a room that is entirely on your side.

  • 9:00 PM

    Curtain down, mingling up

The market stays open. So does the conversation.

  • 11:00 PM

    Evening concludes

Plot Twist closes at eleven, so we say goodnight there.

Do These Two Things

Before you arrive

Both take about two minutes and both make your night better.

One

Submit your matchmaking form

This is how we place you in a group. If you have not filled it out yet, please do it before you head over.

Two

Share a friendship hot take

Anonymous, unfiltered, entirely welcome. The unpopular opinions and the things you have never said out loud.

The Matchmaking

Your wristband is your group

You are not walking into a room of strangers and hoping for the best. Here is how it actually works.

  1. You tell us about you

Your matchmaking form is how we match you. We read every single one.

  2. You check in and get your color

Give your name at the door and we hand you a colored wristband.

  3. You find your color

Look around for the other women wearing it and say hello. That is the whole assignment.

Some women are arriving with friends. Many are arriving solo. Both are celebrated here, and the wristband does the hard part for you.

Parking, and why we would rather you did not

We strongly recommend Uber or Lyft. Parking is limited, a full house is arriving inside the same hour, and there is a two drink minimum waiting for you.

If you are driving, here is where to look.

  • The Plot Twist lot on site
  • Street parking in front of Trope Bookshop

Give yourself an extra ten minutes to find a spot and walk over.

The Dress Code

Showbiz Boss

Pink · Red · Sequins · Silver · Gold

However you shine. Wear something you can stand and mingle in, since the market and terrace are outdoors and part of the night happens on your feet. Otherwise, take it as far as you want to. This is the room for it.

House Notes

A few things worth knowing

At the bar

A two drink minimum is required for the show. Cocktails, wine, beer, and zero proof all count. The bar opens at 6:30 PM, so grab your first round early rather than during the show.

The market

Women owned businesses set up on the terrace from 6:30 PM, alongside a food truck. Shop before the show and again after it. A card is easiest, though a little cash never hurts.

If it rains

The market lives outside all evening, rain or shine. Umbrellas are available and our vendors will be covered. The show itself is indoors and entirely dry.

Come hungry

There is a food truck on site for the evening, so plan to eat with us rather than before you arrive.

  • Seating is first come, first served. There are no reserved seats.
  • Arrive by 7:15 PM at the latest so you are settled before the show starts.
  • This is a women only event.
  • Check in happens at the door. Have your name ready.

After Tomorrow

This is not a one night thing

Tomorrow is one evening. Making friends as a grown woman is a practice. Here is how to keep it going.

Thursday dinners

Every Thursday, eight women are matched and seated together for dinner. No apps, no scrolling, just a table and the women meant to be at it.
